I grew up in Martinez and went to Alhambra High, and chose to attend Cal State East Bay Concord Campus, which I love. It is a great school with a beautiful view, and I encourage you all to see what it has to offer. Since I take all my classes here in my cohort, I know what the students need. I am very passionate about working towards my career as a nurse, as well as my new position as the ASI Director of Concord Campus. I am completely open to advice and would love for other students to get involved and tell me how we can improve the school together. What I love most about the Concord Campus is its sense of community, and one of my goals is to strengthen it even more. My plan is to make the resources that are available at Hayward easier to access for Concord students. I am looking forward to the school year and doing my best to represent the students as the ASI Director of Concord Campus. I hope that I can improve our experiences at Cal State East Bay together, and please contact me if you have any ideas. |

Gaozong Yang DIRECTOR, COLLEGE OF SCIENCE Contact Information: Statement: My name is Gaozong Yang and I am excited to be your 2013-2014 Director for the College of Science. Being the first generation to attend a four year, many obstacles along my college career have forced me to grow and learn how to solve for myself, such as the importance of networking, finding a mentor you can trust, and building up your experience in your career of interest. I want to help bridge the gap from "I know what I want to do but how can I get there?" to "Yes, I made it!" Among the many ideas I would love to try to incorporate, all fueled by the passion created by the feeling of "I wish I had this when I needed it". Let's work together to support one another and create opportunities and experiences that will help us reach our goals. |
Raymund Cruz DIRECTOR, UNIVERSITY UNION Contact Information: Statement: Hi, I am in my fourth year at CSU East Bay majoring in Industrial Engineering. As your ASI Director of the University Union, I want to accomplish what students want for both the new and the old union towards helping them feel comfortable every time they visit. I will help towards the goal and needs of the students, and to carry all responsibilities of being the director of the University Union. I believe that any comments or suggestions of CSU East Bay students can greatly help improve the union as well as the university itself. I have experienced the excitement of being involved in clubs, committees, and other school activities. We focus to unite students to come together to utilize the University Union which I believe belongs to the CSU East Bay students. We as one could make a big impact here at school as long as we could work together and speak our voices for our fellow students and work our way up to make this school more livelier and a more friendlier environment not just for the students today but for the future students as well here at CSU East Bay. |

Landon Patton DIRECTOR, PUBLIC RELATIONS Contact Information: Statement: My name is Landon Patton. I am currently a Junior at CSU East Bay with a major in Communications. Over the past two years I have made East Bay my home by becoming involved around campus. I have been on the Orientation Team Board for two years, joined a fraternity, and have participated in other clubs. The reason I ran for the Director of Public Relations on the ASI Board was to show and share my appreciation for the campus to my fellow students. My main focus for this year is pride, and I want to make this campus as appealing to my fellow students as it is to me. I want people to be proud to say that they attended California State University, East Bay. My goals are to improve the morale on campus, to increase school spirit, and to be a transparent, reliable link between the student body and the university. If anyone has a question, concern, or just needs help from finding a building on campus to finding out more information on campus events, please feel free to come to me. |
